Starting from the beginning, we want each student to understand the language of off-roading. We start here to build a strong foundation.
We cover all the components of the systems on each make and model. 4X4/AWD, IFS to Solid Axles, Differential Components and more.
Understanding how your OHV works, responds and what you can expect when offroading, overlanding or rock crawling
Our approach is Unique! We focus on the technical side of the foundation. We utilize our closed course and curated obstacles to teach.
We talk about the basics of communication equipment, types of equipment and basic communication etiquette.
The second half of the day is practicing what you learned. Our course is fully manned by spotters so you can drive as much as possible.
We work on the skills of picking a line through complex obstacles and lines. How to put your rig where it needs to go to get through. We teach you how to relate a line into a spotting process. Each student spots other student through the course
In this focused class we work on ledges, steps and stairs. Both Climbing and descending. Off angle driving and off-camber descents for better control.
Focused on long climbs, slick rock accents, off-camber climbs and failure recovery. These skills are crucial in places like Moab, Colorado and many other off-road parks and trails.
This half day class is focused on teaching the basics of off-road and over-landing comms, CB, GMRS, HAM, SAT. Product discussions and hands on practicing with all the products on the market.
This is the basics of recovery. Working with your winch, recovery techniques and safety. There is a both classroom and practical application. You will spend a lot of time getting dirty for this one. We will ensure that when you leave you will be ready to use all your equipment safely.
This next level skills. Using complex recovery devices and methods. We will be rigging up some of the most complex recoveries you can think up. Rollovers, high wall recovery, drop in recovery and more! We will also be working with advanced winch creation techniques and other devices.
Note: We recommend that you have attended both Recovery 1 prior to this course.
This class is all about trail repair. We will be covering the ways to complete trail repairs safely. Diagnosing what can and not be repaired. Axle shaft swaps, differential repair, suspension issues. You will also be learning basic welding techniques and how to setup and use a trial welder. What tools you should carry to be prepared. The end of the day is practical applications on repairs, welding and fabrication of fixes.
Note: We recommend that you have attended both Recovery 1 and 2 prior to this course.
